Apart from lazing around at the pool, or in your hotel room, there’s plenty to choose from. The best of both worlds, combining the pleasures of ultimate physical comfort with rich spiritual experience. Try an intellectually stimulating workshop or shiur, and take advantage of the hotels amazing offerings. A round of golf, a pamper at the spa or a riverboat cruise awaits! So whether you have come here to relax, or to spiritually uplift yourself, be sure to make the most of your time with us.
Murphy Clubhouse pulls out all the stops when it comes to keeping the kids happy. So grab your little ones by the hand and bring them along, we’ve got foosball, face painting, table tennis, PlayStation, Wii…need any more convincing?
GREAT TRIPS
Water Sports If its adventure you’re looking for, head on down to the river bank. There are some very cool (pardon the pun) water sports and things to do on the Vaal River. Options include wake-boarding, skiing, tubina, speed boat cruises and, if you are really brave, try out jet-boarding.
Vaal cruises Here’s a heads-up – book in advance or you are going to be left high and dry. Our Vaal River cruises are very popular – simply because how can you beat a meander down the river, drink in hand? We’ve also held some fantastic events on board, so keep that in mind when you are planning your next bash.
Golf at the Country Club If you have come here for the golf, the 18-hole, very well -known Riviera on Vaal Country Club situated adjacent to the hotel is not going to disappoint you. This stunning course is set between the Vaal and Klip Rivers so (guaranteed!) you are going to be blown away by the beautiful scenery. It’s interesting to note that the historic club house was designed by Sir Herbert Baker; a walk around the club house will reveal plenty of interesting history.
For the beginners; a 9-hole Pitch and Putt course is available and the whole family can enjoy a round on this mini golf course. Speak with reception to book your game!

SUGGESTED DAY-TRIP
BODYWROLD'S VITAL
Vital is an absolute must-see exhibition for everyone who appreciates a profoundly engaging, thought-provoking and visually striking experience. It tells the story of how our lifestyle choices affect our health and vitality and what happens when we are struck down by specific illnesses or medical conditions. More than 180 anatomical specimens of real human bodies show us how sophisticated, yet fragile, our bodies really are. Vital is one of 11 exhibitions in the trailblazing BODY WORLDS series seen by more than 40 million people in over 100 cities worldwide – including German tennis player Steffi Graff; SA actress Charlize Theron; musician Josh Grobin; and singer Tina Turner, to mention a few.
