All about Gan Yisrael July & December Camps
Gan Yisrael runs camps for children ages 3 - 12 years old,
Kiddie Camp is for children in nursery school from the age of 3 years old.
Main Camp is for children ages in primary school.

Boys camp - 9:00am - 3:15pm
Girls camp - 9:00am - 3:30pm
To help assist parents who have children in both camp, we have made a 15min time difference for pick up.
Kiddie camp - 9:00am - 2:00pm
The cost for per child, per week of camp is R900 or if you register a child for both weeks it is R1250 (If you register two children for one week it is R900 per child) 
Gan Yisrael for 3 term schools
Gan Yisrael runs an annual camp for children who attend a 3 term schools. The children enjoy a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, cookery, challah making, and exciting trips and shows. The camp gives the children a fun and Jewish place to be during part of their school holiday. Our motto is making "Jewish kids happier and happy kids Jewisher"

August camp is open for children ages 6  - 12 years old

Camp starts at 9am daily and ends at 2.00pm

The August camp is held at Chabad of Illovo
42 - 2nd Ave Illovo 

The cost for the week is R900, this includes lunch and snacks daily. 
(Please note we do not offer a daily rate)

Kiddie Camp

Gan Yisrael Kiddie Camp runs in July and December holidays, we accept children aged in nursery school from the age of 3 and up.*

We are limited to 100 spaces and work on a strictly first come first serve basis. No place is reserved without payment.

Kiddie camp runs from 9am - 2pm daily, and the children will enjoy a wide range of actives, including arts and crafts, sports, outdoor play, creative play and so much more.

*Children must turn 3 within one month of the last day of camp

CGI By The Sea - Overnight Camp
Imagine a place where children breath, eat and sleep their Judaism, twenty four hours a day seven days a week, where they learn that Judaism is vibrant and fun, where they internalise what they learn, and are empowered with a strong and healthy Jewish knowledge and pride, helping to ensure a sound Jewish future. 

This is the Josh and Taryn Gan Yisrael Camp Site!

The camp is situated on the outskirts of Margate on the KZN’s South Coast. Approximately . 3 – 5km from the sea/ beach  

The camp has 9.5 hectors of shaded camping space , the grounds are nestled among many large, beautiful trees and borders on the Uvongo river and is fully fenced, safe, secure and serene.

What happens at Gan Yisrael
Gan Yisrael is much more than just a break from the school routine or an opportunity for mom to breathe during the holidays. We run a comprehensive programme aimed at strengthening body and soul.

We will provide your child with a rich and stimulating holiday of fun and excitement along with friendship and meaningful educational experiences.We also have some very exciting outings!!

The range of on site activities includes:
Arts & Crafts
Mind-development games
Team-building exercises
and lots more...

During the course of each day, we offer the children a full lunch and two snacks.

Our schedule

The children spend a few minutes doing brief exercises, saying Torah verses together, singing and finding out the daily schedule.

From there, your child will go to a learning group for about 30 minutes. After that, the day's activities begin.

Lunch is served at 12:00 p.m. and is followed by the various afternoon activities.

The day winds down with a snack and a line-up. Camp ends at 3.15pm for boys  3:30 p.m for girls on Monday to Thursday, and on 2:00 p.m.on a Friday.

*Please advise the head staff if you will be dropping your child off early off collecting your child late.

Child development is the most significant ingredient in a healthy camp experience. This is why our staff is the real secret to our success. Our experienced counselors are known for their personal warmth and ability to care for each child as an individual. Many staff members return year after year, lending experience and continuity to all programs. Each counselor is a role model for our children, promising them friendship which will last forever! Their love for the children is surpassed only by the children’s love for them.
